This is a place I don’t visit as often as some of the beaches on the Copper Coast and I often struggle to find a compelling image here. It does however have some really nice features like a steep pebble beach and some beautiful coloured cliffs and rocks. There is extensive mining history here and the area is full of old mining shafts and ruins , including the iconic Tankarstown mine. The mine and ruins in the area do warrant a lot more attention and is something I plan to do over the coming months. I already have some images but feel I need a few more to put it together.

A lot of these images a very similar but maybe you can see the progression in finding a composition I like, the image at the top of this post is my favourite. The main feature is the sea stack that sits at about the mid tide point, and when viewed from certain angles has been likened to a Lion’s head by some.

In general I feel I have unfinished business here, there are lots of more intimate and detailed opportunities along this stretch of coast that sometimes give a better feel for an area than the wider view of coast.
